We are delighted to share the wonderful news that Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery West Kensington has been rated ‘Good’ in all areas following our most recent Ofsted inspection on 2nd September 2025.

This achievement reflects the dedication, passion, and care shown by our entire team in providing a nurturing, engaging, and high-quality early years experience for every child in our care.

A Warm and Welcoming Environment

The Ofsted report highlights that our nursery provides “a warm and welcoming environment where children happily arrive and settle quickly.” We take great pride in ensuring that every child feels safe, secure, and valued from the moment they walk through our doors.

Our highly trained staff are described as “kind and nurturing,” helping children to build strong, trusting relationships that support their emotional well-being and confidence.

A Strong, Child-Centred Curriculum

Inspectors praised our team’s “good understanding of the curriculum” and our ability to tailor learning experiences around each child’s interests and development needs. From sensory play for babies to hands-on exploration and imaginative learning for older children, our curriculum encourages curiosity, creativity, and independence.

Ofsted noted that our “staff have recently completed training around the curriculum and how children learn,” resulting in even more purposeful and engaging activities across all age groups.

Supporting Every Child’s Progress

We were pleased that Ofsted recognised our proactive approach to monitoring children’s development. Our team works closely with parents and external professionals to identify and support any areas where children may need extra help, ensuring that “all children make good progress and are well prepared for the next stage in their learning.”

Promoting Positive Behaviour and Independence

The inspection highlighted our success in helping children develop self-regulation and social skills. Using stories, discussions, and visual tools, children learn to express their feelings and manage emotions in a positive way.

Ofsted also noted that “children listen well, help at tidy-up time, and demonstrate a positive attitude towards learning.” We’re especially proud that our children show kindness, respect, and care for one another every day.

Continuous Reflection and Improvement

As part of the Monkey Puzzle family, we’re committed to continuous development. Our leadership team regularly reflects on feedback from parents, staff, and professionals to refine our practice — whether that’s reviewing daily routines, introducing new learning resources, or adjusting our menus based on children’s preferences.

Working Together with Families

We believe strong partnerships with parents are key to a child’s success. Ofsted highlighted our effective communication, noting that “leaders and staff build strong relationships with parents and keep them up to date with their children’s learning.” Through our online learning app, coffee mornings, and family events, we make sure parents feel informed, supported, and part of our nursery community.

Looking Ahead

While Ofsted identified a few areas for further improvement — such as enhancing transitions during routines and giving children more time to respond during conversations — we view these as opportunities to grow and strengthen our practice even more.

We are incredibly proud of our Good rating and of the team whose commitment, expertise, and care make Monkey Puzzle West Kensington a place where children truly thrive.
