Our Teddy Bears
We would like to welcome three new residents to the nursery. Each room now has a teddy bear who can be taken home by a child in their room. These teddies like to visit new places, so, if you would like to take one of our new residents on holiday or on a day trip, please remember to take their passport with them to get it stamped. When it is your child’s turn, please can you write a daily dairy about what you have been up to with the teddy bear and take some photos so they can show their friends what you all got up to whilst away from the nursery. This can be either hand written or email.

  • Caterpillars’ teddy bear is called Apple.
  • Butterflies’ teddy bear name is Teddy.
  • Preschools’ teddy bear name is Timmie.

March News

March has been full of fun and laughter at Monkey Puzzle West Kensington. Here’s a little summary of what we have been up to…

PurpleWe got our aprons out and made some delicious cupcakes. Except Jamie… who never wears his apron!

redWorld Book day saw everyone arrive dressed as their favourite book character. The Cat in the Hat read us all stories.

yellowBabies have been painting animals and getting more paint on themselves than the paper. They’ve been getting themselves ready for our visit from Zoolab in April. We are all very excited!

greenSt Patricks Day was celebrated with all things that are green. Lots of sticking and gluing, painting and a whole heap of creativity.

PurpleThe first day of spring saw the under 2 years exploring new textures. We froze some flowers and leaves in water and let them discover what happens when the ice melts.

redThe nursery staff organised celebrations for Mother’s day, which included special songs about how much the children loved their Mummies and all the children handed out gifts made specially for their Mum. Ebun (our Chef) had prepared special treats and we served tea and coffee. Thank you to all the mummies that came we hope you enjoyed yourselves.

Zoolab are coming to visit!

Tuesday 4th April – Pop it in your diary!

The children are all very excited as we have just confirmed our annual visit from Zoolab, a wonderful educational experience where we all get to handle some amazing and beautiful creatures.

Zoolab are brilliant at creating a fun learning environment and the Rangers and animals are skilled at doing just this – gaining the immediate interest of the children, exciting their curiosity and covering many subject areas within the national curriculum.

February News

We’ve had a super busy February with lots going on at the nursery including our fantastic Open Day! This month Toddlers enjoyed reading The Tiger Who Came to tea, by Judith Kerr. The children all made their own tigers with orange paint and black strips of paper. Babies have been exploring with paint and vegetables; as part as our Healthy Eating Month and well done to the Under twos, who made these lovely courgette muffins! We could not get enough of them!

A huge ‘Thank You’ to everyone who came to the Open Day and got a little taste of life at Monkey Puzzle West Kensington. Special thanks to Kenny the amazing author of Loulabub Zoolabub, who came to read to us all and to Ebun our wonderful chef, for preparing a delicious sample of our weekly menus.
