February / March 2016 nursery roundup

We decided that it was such a lovely day that we had to take the fun outside. Maths is so much more fun outside. The children all had great fun seeing how many they could count.

This weeks topic has been focusing and experimenting with colours. Looking and learning about primary and secondary colours. We’ve been experimenting by mixing paints and food colouring which led us to make this beautiful rainbow cake. Well done children! It tasted yummy too!

The whole nursery had great fun celebrating World Book Day.  The children and staff all came dressed as their favourite characters and brought in their favourite story books to read. We enjoyed a range of different activities and exploring lots of different extraordinary tales.
Sona Lá Fhéile Pádraig from Monkey puzzle West Kensington. Happy St Patricks Day. We had such a fun filled day looking at the colours of the Irish flag, painting shamrocks and practising our Irish dancing. We had fun learning about the climate and culture of Ireland and we all dressed up in green..
